After an absence of two years, due to the pandemic of the coronavirus, the “Cretan Food Festival”, organized by the Region of Crete – Regional Unit of Rethymnon, the Municipality of Rethymnon and the Chamber of Rethymnon, will open its gates on Friday, July 1, 2022, at the Municipal Garden of Rethymnon, in the context of strengthening local productive enterprises and promoting both the Cretan diet and the culture of our land. This year the events of the Cretan Food Festival are dedicated to 30 centuries of Asia Minor Hellenism.
As is the case of the Cretan Food Festival, an exhibition of local products will be held, with the participation of Cretan producers of the primary sector (olive oil, wine, cheese, herbal cosmetics, etc.), while the events will also include a rich artistic programme, tastings, etc.
It is worth noting that the Cretan Food Festival will last until Thursday, 7 July 2022 (opening hours 19:00 – 23:00).
